If you ever need to share a password with somoene it is highly recommendded that you hide it by using some type of encryption. This allows you to safely share it with someone in a secure way. WebHosting Hub provides a free tool called PassEncrypt that makes it easy encrypt and share your passwords over the internet.

In this guide, we'll show you how to securely share a password using the PassEncrypt tool from WebHosting Hub.

How to Use PassEncrypt

  1. Access the PassEncrypt tool at the following link:
https://passencrypt.webhostinghub.com/ (This link will open in a new tab)
  2. Enter a Description in the first field. This should be something that helps the person you are sharing the password with identify what it is for.
  3. Enter the Password you are sharing in the next field.
  4. Now set the TTL option, this stands for "time to live" and will determine how long the link that you generate will be available before it expires. The options range from 5 minutes to 2 weeks.
Note: If you are sharing with WebHosting Hub in a support ticket for example, we recommend setting it to 48 hours to allow time for testing.
  5. Click the Generate button. You will then see a "Token generated" message.
