One of the factors that can help to improve the sales in your store is the report which shows you which products are being viewed on site. This report, the Products Viewed Report, will give a percentage and actual number of views for products that can help you improve your inventory so as to provide products that will provide more profit. The following tutorial will show you how to use the products viewed report in OpenCart 1.5
Viewing the Products Viewed Report for OpenCart 1.5
- Login to the Administration Dashboard as an Administrator
- Place your mouse over REPORTS in the menu bar. Click on PRODUCTS when the drop-down menu appears. When the menu appears to the right, select VIEWED. You will see a screen similar to the one below:
- This particular report only shows the product model, number of times viewed and percentage of visits based on the total visits to all products. There are no filtering tools and only an option to RESET the report back to 0.
The Products Viewed report is available only to the Administrators and personnel who have access to the Administration dashboard of OpenCart. This report is used specifically to determine the products that visitors are viewing when visiting the store. This may not guarantee that the product showing a certain number of views is also being purchased. It does indicate what may be garnering interest in the store and help to not only generate interest, but also improve your profits.
The report prints on the web page, in order to print the report, use your internet browser option to print the page.
