I am trying to do the task detailed in the subject line. I followed the directions detailed in Steps 3 and 4 at http://bit.ly/164UBXX. However, when I do this, I receive the following error message:

SQL query:

--
-- Database: `wordpress`
--
CREATE DATABASE IF NOT EXISTS `wordpress` DEFAULT CHARACTER SET latin1 COLLATE latin1_swedish_ci;

MySQL said: Documentation

#1044 - Access denied for user 'albans5'@'localhost' to database 'wordpress'

Thanks for any help in resolving this problem!

Dear Manager

This is not going well. I am still within my 90 day trial period at WebHostingHub. My problem is not being resolved. I am not getting the feeling that anyone is committed to resolve it. I have now been trying through multiple chats and emails to resolve my issue and (1) it has not been resolved and (2) I am getting unhelpful responses overnight by email asking for information that I have given in the email.

I work from Europe. If my problem is not resolved today London GMT time by 5pm, I would like my money back and will open a hosting account elsewhere.

MY PROBLEM
I need to upload a MySQL database. This continues to fail, despite several suggestions from the Support Team. I continue to get this error:

Even following this link from your website leads to nothing: http://www.webhostinghub.com/help/learn/website/databases/importing-mysql-database-in-phpmyadmin. The furthest I have come is to upload the individual tables that make up the database. This is not the way forward and at best a muddle through until you tell me how to upload a MySQL database. Uploading a MySQL database onto my local server is no problem at all using PhPMyAdmin. Doing the same via your website and via your PhPMyAdmin does not work.

I hope you can resolve this problem urgently. If not, I have to take my business elsewhere.

Hello MtKuile,

Sorry to hear about the trouble you are having importing a database, I have forwarded your post to the management team. I can definitely understand your frustration.

Initially, I see your database name you are connecting to is incorrect. In the error it states:
#1044 - Access denied for user 'clockr6'@'localhost' to database 'clockregister'

The database name should have your cPanel username appended to the beginning, for example:
userna99_clockregister

You can view your database names in cPanel:

  1. Login to cPanel

  2. Under Databases, click the MySQL Databases button.Under Current Databases you will see your database names.

I do not know why the link is not working for your, I tested it successfully. See if this works for you:
http://www.webhostinghub.com/help/learn/website/databases/importing-mysql-database-in-phpmyadmin
or this:
http://www.webhostinghub.com/support/importing-mysql-database-in-phpmyadmin

If your problems persist, please upload a database backup (using ftp or the cPanel file manager) into your account's home folder and email support@webhostinghub.com for further assistance. Please be sure to include the filename, what database you want the file imported to and account verification (either your AMP password or the last 4 digits of the credit card on file).

This will create a ticket for our support team, and they will email you back upon restoration of your database.

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.
Thank you,

-John-Paul
