Can subdomains be pointed to your main domain?

When making a store are there certain programs I must add for it to go online so my customers can see my products and order online? Can I add Paypal to my cart to accept credit cards?

This all depends on how you build your site. Solutions such as WooCommerce for WordPress will allow you to easily develop an ecommerce site ans use various credit card gateways such as PayPal.
