Every time I try to install modules on my drupal install I get the following errors:

The specified file temporary://filepDogT7 could not be copied, because the destination directory is not properly configured. This may be caused by a problem with file or directory permissions. More information is available in the system log.
http://ftp.drupal.org/files/projects/calendar-7.x-3.0-alpha2.tar.gz could not be saved to temporary://update-cache-eda84aec/calendar-7.x-3.0-alpha2.tar.gz.
Unable to retrieve Drupal project from http://ftp.drupal.org/files/projects/calendar-7.x-3.0-alpha2.tar.gz.

What permissions do I have to set to be able to install the module?

Thank you,
Lou

Hi Lou,

I'm sorry you're having trouble installing your Drupal module. This issue is usually related to the temp directory set in your Drupal configuration. The recommended solution is to change the temporary directory for Drupal to the temporary directory in your account (/home/userna5/tmp) instead of the server's temp directory. Be sure to replace userna5 with your actual cPanel user name.

I found this recommendation from:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5040718/file-system-permission-error-while-installing-drupal-modules

and

http://drupal.org/node/1008328

Please let us know if you have any questions or need any additional assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
