Hi,

Like everyone with a wordpress installation there is a lot of traffic being driven trying to access / exploit and spam it. Typically I hard block out data centers and hosting companies and it quietens down.

Have a rather large list of providers where attacks have been coming from, but notice that a lot more are getting through as the deny from list is getting larger.

So just wondering if there is a limit to the number of rules that the server will actually abide by.

Cheers.

Hello,

I am unsure of a precise limit, but I have seen .htaccess deny lists of as high as a few thousand lines.

Kindest Regards,
Scott M
