The few days ago my htaccess. file had been changed. At first I thought I had caused it, so I restored a backup and got the site back up and running.

Now I see that some one has manged to get to my files and is swapping out the htaccess. file and some of my css files.

I've changed the passwords to the joomla's backend and am restoring another backup.

Can some on help me find out how they are getting in?

Hello madtalent,

Thank you for your question. I checked both of the domains you have hosted with us using this helpful website:

http://sitecheck.sucuri.net/scanner/

I found one of them contains an outdated Wordpress website. I highly recommend updating the wordpress version, as they can easily open you up to security risks.

Also here is a link to our article that covers What do I do if my website is hacked.

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below, or contact live Tech Support.

They are available 24/7 via:

Thank you,
