I already uploaded my site, and it works, but not perfectly. All the files are there & they look great, but for some reason, the only way I can get the index to show up is to add /index.html to the url. I asked godaddy.com (my host) and they said that it's something in my script that's keeping it from appearing like its supposed to, but I dunno. PLEASE help me!

url: www.tsopministries.net (doesn't work)
url: www.tsopministries.net/index.html (works)

Hello big.vigor,

It appears your site is trying to use a different page for yourhome page. You can set it to use the index.html file.

Check for a file named .htaccess. It is a 'hidden file' so be sure that you have enabled the ability to see hidden files in your account.

Edit the file as you would any other, it is a text file, so no special tool are necessary. You can usually edit it from the account, but if not, you may need to download it and open it with a text editor such as notepad, etc.

Once you open the file, look for a line of code that begins with DirectoryIndex. This should have a filename after it, such as home.html, index.php, index.htm. Change that file name to index.html.

If there is no line for that enter the following line at the top of the file:

DirectoryIndex index.html

Save your changes (upload the file back to the account if you had to download it to edit it) and your site should display normally when you visit www.tsopministries.net.

Best Regards,
Scott M
