I need Help Installing Photo Cart
I have uploaded the software file for this ecommerce software and I don't know how to complete the install. I have also added a database but am unsure on how to link them. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hello Thank you for your question. We are unfamiliar with a software named Photo Cart. It appears there may be a couple of different programs out there that share this title, so a link to the exact one you are using mayhelp. We also have no instructions on how to install this particular software onto your hosting account. This means that the information given in the answer here will be more generalized as to what happens in other programs. When dealing with databases in a manual install, you will need to first create a blank database and database user from within your cPanel. Once those are created you will need to assign the database name, user, and password to the proper file within PhotoCart. More often than not these are named something similar to settings.php, configuration.php or config.php. Edit the proper file and they should have settings for Database name, database user, and database password. Be sure to enter the correct information there. One other setting that may need be set is the database host. For this you will want to use the setting 'localhost' (without the quotes). Kindest Regards, Scott M |
