Activated theme not displaying

In WordPress dashboard I have downloaded the "Virtue" theme, gone to "Appearance", "Theme", activated it, and all is well...except that when I go to view my site the theme does not show; as if it did not activate. I have checked the Q&A on WordPress but to no avail. Can you tell me detailed instructions on what to do as I am a beginner. Thanks

Can you provide us your domain so we may replicate the issue? Have you tried clearing your browsers cache?
