Help. I have been using Microsoft FrontPage for years and now that they are no longer supporting it, I’m learning WordPress. My web page is still up and running using FrontPage. I have been successful in copying and pasting my FrontPage HTML onto WordPress pages and they are saved as Drafts. I did publish my home page, BUT when I look at my web site I still get the FrontPage home page. How come?????? I have uninstalled the FrontPage extensions. Is there something else that I have to do????? My web site is www.ed-reno-magician.com Thank You.

Hi nitro 9292,

I'm sorry you had trouble switching from FrontPage to WordPress. Although WordPress is installed for your site, the previous pages created in Front Page were still in the site's document root folder as well. The previous home page (index.html) was taking precedence over the WordPress index.php file. I renamed the index.html file in your public_html directory to index.html_bk and you should now be able to see your new WordPress site. If you do not see the new WordPress site, please try refreshing the page in your browser and, if necessary, clear your browser cache.

While checking into this for you, I noticed that you have WordPress installed for your two Addon domains as well. When those sites are ready to go in WordPress, simply rename each of the index.html files in the Addon domain document root folders so that the WordPress index.php will appear instead of the index.html file.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or need further assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
