Update to PrestaShop - version 1.54

The update for PrestaShop included some backend and frontend changes. For those of you using PrestaShop 1.5, the update is immediately visible when you login to the dashboard. Update versions are highlighted directly in the administrator dashboard interface. This article will summarize the updates for new users to PrestaShop, or those of you slowly migrating into the new version.

What's New in PrestaShop 1.54?

• The back end interface has now been improved so that it can be more easily used with mobile devices.
• A new module called Merchant Expertise has been added. This adds a little fun and the ability to create goals that can be tracked with simple colorful icons.
• The frontend website that your visitors see has also undergone some improvement in how customers are handled from cart to payment. This process (that PrestaShop refers to as an "order funnel") ensures that the customers will not be lost during the checkout process.
• Support for international customers has also been improved to allow the preferred language of a customer directly on their profile page.
