Downloading and Installing GIMP
GIMP is free image editing software that has a wide range of features to help you with modifying images on your website. GIMP has a similar look and feel to Photoshop, but without the price tag. If you need to make advanced modifications to your images a more powerful image editor may be needed, however for tasks such as re-sizing and cropping we recommend using GIMP.
First, you will need to download GIMP. For safety reasons, we recommend downloading GIMP from their official website. Remember that GIMP is free, so do not install it from any site that will charge you money for it. Once you have downloaded it, double click on the .exe file and it will begin installing the program.
When the program opens, click on Install and GIMP will immediately begin installing to your computer. You will get a screen similar to this:
Once it is installed, a confirmation page will appear:
Click on "Finish" and GIMP will automatically open:
