Can not change settings.php

I am not able to change the "settings.php" file. Change permissions does not help.
Please assist.

Thank you for your question. We are happy to help. but will need some additional information.

What did you change the permissions to? (Usually you would set .php files to - 644)

How are you modifying the file? For example are you using FileZilla, cPanel File Manager, Notepad++, or other FTP program?

Are you getting any errors? What are they?
