help with opencart newsletter

how do I see who has signed up for opencart newsletter??

How do I temporarily disable it - so I can enable it in the not too distant???

I really would appreciate answers that a newcomer can understand :)

When users sign up for an account, they have the ability to subscribe to the newsletter. Unfortunately, there is not a way to disable this section in a simple manner. To send mail to newsletter subscribers, you may follow our guide on sending mail in Opencart.

Hello going-mad,

The default OpenCart setup does not allow for you to view the subscriber list all at once. You will need to explore the different modules regarding newsletters to see which one best fits your needs. Some are free and others you need to pay for. I have a link here to the list of extensions sorted by price.

Why not use a OpenCart module like http://www.magikcommerce.com/opencart-newsletter-subscription-extension/ do all the heavy lifting. The module has a nice interface which shows exactly when and who subscribed to your newsletter.

Default OpenCart extension doesn't have a lot of useful features that's why having a module like OpenCart Newsletter extension by Magik is quite handy.
