Hi, I currently have a website that is in use and uses the domain "sunriseberryfarms.ca".
I want to create a NEW website which will replace this website, using the same domain name.
I am all set up within webhostinghub however I'm having some confusion with which domain name to use for everything (FTP accounts, wordpress account, etc...)

Which domain am I supposed to be using when asked for my URL?
1) sunriseberryfarms.ca
OR
2) sunris35

And if the latter, what is the entire URL?
I'm not sure if I set everything up right...

Hello Kendra, and thanks for the question.

In order to create a new website on your domain name you might want to think about creating a sub-folder for the new site design and doing all of your uploading there.

It looks like currently your domain isn't pointed at our name servers, so currently if you're using the domain name in your FTP client or trying to access the WordPress admin panel, then it is going to access the site on the current host you have it pointed at and not on our server.

To directly pull up your site from our server, you can either use the temporary URL for your account:

http://whub30.webhostinghub.com/~sunris35

If you'd like to FTP upload files to our server directly you can also use the server's direct hostname:

whub30.webhostinghub.com

Or you'll want to modify your computer's local (hosts) file to resolve your domain to our server. This essentially forces your computer to skip looking up the domain from the Internet, and allows you to directly point it somewhere:

Modifying your hosts file

If you're thinking about creating a WordPress site, I would recommend using the modifying your (hosts) file method. This is because with the way that WordPress handles re-directions they can break when viewing the site over the temporary URL.

It looks like you already have a fresh install of WordPress installed on the domain name on our server. Were you looking at importing your data into this installation from your current live website? It seems at your previous host you're running Joomla so you wouldn't be able to directly copy over the content without some manual intervention.

If you wanted to remove the WordPress installation from your account and start over fresh you can uninstall this application via the Softaculous installer:

Softaculous - Uninstall programs

To re-install WordPress, Joomla, or another application you could then follow this guide to learn about installing them:

Softaculous - Install programs

I hope that answers all of your questions, please let us know if you have any further questions at all.

- Jacob
