I'd also like to bring up that Dreamweaver also can't use my FTP to publish my personal website design so i'm forced to use the templates using WordPress through my Cpanel.

Another Issue is that every time i search my domain and site it is seemingly parked by GoDaddy.com, now if this is only happening because i haven't published my site yet I can understand but even my educators in the field of web design can't figure out how to fix these problems.

I need a solution ASAP due to the fact that I am a graduating student and absolutely need to get my website off the ground in order to secure employment.

Hello GoodWolf,

Thank you for your question. Dreamweaver is definitely compatible with our hosting, here is a link to our guide on configuring FTP for Dreamweaver, and we also have one on publishing your site with Dreamweaver.

If your site is resolving to godaddy, most likely you still need to point your nameservers to us. You can check your existing nameservers by performing a Whois lookup.

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.
Thank you,

I purchased my domain from webhostinghub.com so i am confused as to why my nameserver is pointed at Godaddy to begin with. It also seems that my domain is locked so I can't switch the nameserver at all. The last time I emailed support directly they pointed me back here so I would appreciate it if I could get this all sorted out. Do I need to email support to get my domain unlocked and how should I proceed?

Hello GoodWolf,

We are happy to help, but we would need more information to provide an answer, specifically the domain name.

Please reply with additional information so we can see what's going on.

Hello Goodwolf,

The domain that you indicated is registered with GoDaddy, and we therefore have no control over being able to change the name servers. This setting is something you can change by simply logging into your GoDaddy account. We have an article that John Paul linked. Here's that link again: Change Name servers with GoDaddy. You can also contact GoDaddy's technical support and I'm sure they'll be happy to change them for you. Remember to take note that this change is not instantaneous. The time that it takes for the name server to change on the internet is called propagation time.

If you require any further assistance, please let us know.

The big issue here is that i don't have a go daddy account. I Purchased my domain through webhostinghub and it's my first website i've ever owned so i know its not from godaddy. So i don't have a login, and I can't change the nameserver.

Hello GoodWolf,

I apologize, but it appears that you may be confused over the definitions of a web hosting account and a domain name. These are two separate items that can be purchased in one place, but this may not necessarily occur in sequence. I did review your account, and there is no record of a domain name being registered through Web Hosting Hub. The domain name for the account is registered through GoDaddy as per the WHOIS info:

Registered through: GoDaddy.com, LLC (http://www.godaddy.com)
Domain Name: ETHANENTERTAINMENT.COM

Registrant:
Mary G

Domain servers in listed order:
NS15.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
NS16.DOMAINCONTROL.COM

---------------------------------

Domain names MUST be registered in order to be used on the internet. If you purchased a hosting service from Web Hosting Hub, and specified a domain name, it may have been assumed that you already had a name registered.

In further reviewing your account, there is a record of a request for a Domain Transfer, but it is not complete. Domain Transfers can be initiated through the Account Management Panel (AMP), but you would need to tell your domain registrar that you are moving the domain and you would need to obtain an authorization code from them in order to process the move.

I'm sorry to hear that you that you don't remember registering the name with GoDaddy. The other possibility is that the domain name "Ethanentertainment.com" is owned by someone else already. You would not be able to use that name if that is the case. You would need to register a new domain name for your website if the name is not available to you.

I hope this clears up the issue. Sorry again for the confusion, and please let us know if you require any further assistance.

Kindest Regards,
Arnel C.

Okay, now I can understand the confusion of all of this and how this is becoming tedious.

I purchased this domain and hosting service from webhostinghub close to four months ago. When i searched the domain name and checked it's availability during the registration process on webhostinghub, it told me that it was available. I spent the money for both a domain and a hosting service but from what I can tell from what you've explained to me i'm only getting the hosting service. I opened a support ticket with godaddy and they confirmed that the domain ethanentertainment.com had been taken by another person. Although I very specifically remember webhostinghub's registration process teling me it was available or it wouldn't have let me proceed further with the process of purchasing a domain or web hosting service.

Now I can understand what's wrong and what the situation is. But my issue is that I spent money on both a domain and hosting service. My cpanel is all set up to ethanentertainment.com, this is very frustrating because I have been giving out business cards to potential employers with that domain on it because i was under the impression that I had purchased this domain. It is losing me business and potential interviews not to mention money. I agreed to pay the upwards to 90 dollars for both services and I just want to get this figured out completely before i waist anymore time problem solving and move on to fixing the issue.

Do i need to purchase a new domain? If so do i change out the new domain from the one that's set up in my cpanel?
