General Information
I have been informed by the Co I represent that I can not use a certain name in my URL. Other than starting over with a new domain name..what can I do to change to an acceptable name?

Hello Buster,

I'm sorry you're having trouble with your domain name. When domains are registered, they are registered for one full year (in advance) and cannot be changed. Here is what we recommend:

  1. Register a new domain name
  2. Request that the primary domain name be changed to the new domain name.
  3. Once that change is made, cancel the renewal of the original domain so that it isn't renewed next year.
  4. When your new domain is close to renewal next year, contact our Billing Department and request that the domain become your free domain (hosting includes one free domain registration per year). You can set up a renewal reminder for your the domain registration so that you will know when the domain is close to renewal.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions or need further assistance.

Update: 2012.07.02
Due to rising domain costs by the Government Agency that controls domain fees (ICANN/Verisign), we've had to change our policy on free domain registrations / renewals. Free domain registrations are no longer free for the life of your hosting account, but are instead free for the first year only. Further details can be found in our Terms of Service.
